Jo Blogs Jo Bakes is a place for me to share my kitchen adventures, the things I create stove side for those I love. I often talk about products or kitchen kit which I have organically grown to love myself be it well loved and trusted things that have graced the shelves of my kitchen my whole life or newer, exciting finds I simply have to tell my readers about! Increasingly, I am approached to do reviews of products or books and I am thrilled to be asked. Whenever this is the case, I will only ever give you my true opinion and I try to make it very clear to my readers how I came about whatever it is I am using in my posts. I’m more than happy to be approached with your ideas and look forward to working with foodie and baking related companies big and small to promote and showcase their products but there are few points I’d like press contacts to consider before approaching me:

  • I will ask for a reasonable amount of time to try products out I’ve not used before, before creating a recipe to showcase them with on my blog.  My real life and job mean I do not spend all day, everyday in the kitchen (more’s the pity!).
  • Whilst I love to try new products etc my focus is my own culinary creations and I may have to decline requests if demand is high and I run the risk of turning my blog into one big advert.
  • I’m happy to run competitions and giveaways but I will ask that if it is a prize I have not used, that I may trial it first before I run the competition to ensure it’s kitchen kit worthy of my readers (i.e. no lesser in quality than I would use myself, down at the Apple Chapel).
  • I won’t accept requests to not divulge that a product is offered and given to me in return for a review (aka free advertising and marketing).  Full disclosure is my policy so don’t approach me if you’re not comfortable with this.
  • I reserve the right to not publish a post on your product if it doesn’t work for me – I want to keep things positive here and so if there is a problem, I will feedback to you without publishing a negative review and I promise I will try my best to find the best in whatever I am asked to review!

So, if you think we could work together to promote your products and you agree with all of the above do drop me a line.

Examples of companies I have worked with so far include:

Sugar and Crumbs

Jo Wheatley

Dotcomgiftshop

KitchenCraft

Argos

BBC GoodFood

Drop me a line and let’s see what we can come up with – if you prefer, you can email me directly at: joblogsjobakes@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you!
